Life is about learning lessons and growing as a spiritual being. The troubles and tribulation we encounter along the way are growth opportunities not punishment. Some lessons are relatively simple and others, not so much. The later of these are hugely important in terms of our spiritual growth. Of course, when times are tough it’s difficult to see the value that will be reaped when it’s all said and done. Hindsight is where this value tends to become most apparent. Surely you can think back over the landscape of your life and recognize value that came about following previous bouts of hardship.
We are the reason for our sadness and happiness. Our happiness is not at all influenced by others and their actions. Happiness is a choice. Our perception and reaction to an incident decides our happiness. We know the fact that a poor family is happier than a middle class family. Their reactions towards their circumstances decide their happiness. They never think of their poverty and never think of it as a reason for their sadness or happiness. Contentment with what you have is the key to happiness.
Life is full of choices. We make choices every seconds of our life, determining who and what we are and therefore live our life according to that principle. I think it is safe to say: What goes through our brain determines who we are as an individual. It also got me thinking: wouldn’t our life be that much easier if we start thinking positively?
