I remember meeting a 52 year old woman sometime ago under the most adverse conditions the specifics of which I shall leave out.
When starting a new work out program, work schedule, way of doing things or adopting any new change in your life it’s not going to be the easiest thing that you’ve ever done. In actuality, it will most probably be one of the hardest things you’ve ever done.
When everything seems to be crashing around You or not going You way that is the most important time to approach the situation at hand in a more objective manner. The problem with adverse situations is that people tend to panic and therefore begin to take rash actions which serve to fix things only temporarily.
Courage is a trait that is necessary for success. This is because if you cannot conquer the fears that exist inside you, then it’s impossible to conquer the situation that you are in or those you will face on the road to success.
Usually when people consider doing things they’ve talked themselves out of taking the action long before they’ve even begun. All the reasons why they ‘can’t’ begin to loom large and before they know it their dreams seem so bleak that they cast them aside without a moment’s consideration.
When in the middle of a situation that you don’t particularly want to be in I think the most important skill to have is that of ‘looking back’.
